To be fair, why don’t you factor in the switch, case and RTTI checking that would be required if you didn’t have polymorphism.

You don’t have to have virtual functions if you don’t need them.

If you need them, they will probably be faster than implementing c++ runtime polymorphism with ifs or switches.

Fake comparisons are not very useful.
